Bio + Contact

I’m an educator, writer, and researcher interested in how families and communities can work toward social justice together. In my doctoral work at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), I studied sociopolitical development and socialization within adult-child relationships and designed social justice-focused activities for families. With Hania Mariën, I’m the co-creator of Imagining More Just Futures, a social justice educational initiative. I’m a Truman Scholar, and I received my BA in music and psychology from Williams College and my EdM and PhD in Human Development, Learning, and Teaching from HGSE. During my time at Harvard, I also served as the Family Program Manager with the Harvard University Graduate Commons Program (2019-2023) and as an editor for the Harvard Educational Review (2020-2022). I’m a frequent reader and writer of poems, stories, and non-fiction for kids and grown-ups.
